  • My little man

Here is my little boy....he's growing up way too fast.:sob:

I took him to downtown Easley today to finally get some pictures of MY kids. He wasn't too thrilled about it but he ended up cooperating enough for me to get some good shots. Madison was too excited and rubbed it in that she didn't have to have hers made today. But she is next! I don't know why my kids don't like to have their picture taken???

I was wanting a little grunge, but a preppy Abercrombie and Fitch feel.

He's like me, very light sensitive and a squinter so it's hard to capture the gorgeous green eyes he has.

More to come as I work on them.

Very nice Leslie. It does go fast! My baby boy is my avatar. He's almost 25. My son started to not like being photographed around 8. I think I used him to practice too much. My daughter still enjoys it though. SHe still askes to be a guineepig.

I did the shirt / tie last year...too cute!

Don't you find it funny that we tell people solids solids solids and then we throw our kids in strips???????

2 words, "overhead scrim" or "subtractive lighting". That'll block off the overhead Light/Sun and you'll open his eyes up. G

Thanks everyone, I'm so excited to have this printed as it has SOOOO long since I've photographed my own kids.

Gary, yes that would have definitely improved the squinting. We were actually under an overhang but it was a shallow one. I only have one large 42x72 silver reflector right now which is what my hubby was using to direct some light for fill. I MUST get a few Larson 36 inch reflectors to use for just these things though!

Even though it's not a technically perfect shot, it's for me and I LOVE it and am going to have it printed for me.

No, I would not be so lenient for a paying client, I would make sure I had all of my tools or either put them in shade where I didn't need a scrim but this is not a paying client and is for me so I'm throwing the rules out the window.
