Last year (2022) for 1 year solid, I posted at least 1 and sometimes as many as 5 social media posts.......EVERYDAY!!!!! YES, EVERYDAY!!! I did this to Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
You may be asking, "....KIRK, how in the world do you have TIME to do that?

They only charge $25 a month. You can literally sit down (this is what I did) on a Sunday while the NFL Saint's Game is on in the background and make your posts for the week, or for the whole month. They have special instructions on what you have to do to get it to post "AUTOMATICALLY"....zero interaction from you and this thing takes over....posting your words and images to a variety of different social media platforms.
So.....here is my reasoning on this......posting to social media is totally FREE....but you have to do it often and you have be consistent if you want to see results. PAYING for social media will work, but it does not really produce LONG TERM CLIENTS. Oh if you run an ad on Facebook, and let's say you spend $100, and that ad advertises FREE MODEL PORTRAITS.....you will get a ton of business. But it's all FREE!!!!!
NOW, if your goal is to generate word of mouth advertising from those people who come in for their FREE PORTRAIT, then great, that is a whole different thread: https://forum.pro4um.com/forum/photo...s-model-season
But, from doing this, I noticed that when I would go for 2 weeks posting senior portraits, my phone would ring and I would get questions about senior portraits. When I would post FOOD PHOTOGRAPHY, or commercial photography....it would take about 2 weeks, but my phone would ring asking about what I was posting.
This happened over and over again, Business Portraits, Real Estate, Babies, Families....and the list goes on and on. I did it for a solid year and it worked GREAT....the only thing I paid for was the $25 a month to LATER.COM to make my posting simple.
I picked up a ton of followers along the way and thus I wanted to pass this idea along. CURRENTLY, I am taking a break from all of that posting. But I do plan to crank it up again in a few months. (I'm having Knee Replacement Surgery at the end of April and I plan on cranking it up at that time.)
