    Jim

When I was photographing weddings. I had a video guy place his tripod in the center of the isle.

The bride wanted specific shots and I politely asked him if he could move for just a minute so I could get the requested images. He said no way was he moving. I photographed the shots the bride requested with the video idiot in them and then after the ceremony informed the bride of the situation.

The bride preceded to chew him a new *** and informed him that he would be taking direction from me.

    Oh what a wonderful feeling.

      Hi Jim!

After photographing weddings for over 20 years (don't do them anymore) there is almost nothing that surprises me. Was this guy a "professional" or was he a relative?

Some people just don't care about anything other than themselves.

Glad to know Oklahoma's not the only state that has THOSE

I believe in going beyond the call of duty for pictures . . .but that's over the top

              Kind Regards

At least he got down low. Hope he didn't push the bridesmaid out of the way. Hate to say this but it's like normal behavior anymore from what I see at weddings. I don't even think he got a good view from that position.

That guy is crazy! At a wedding I did last month, a guy with a phone camera came up to the middle of the aisle and started taking phone pics of the singer and the bride and groom. I kindly asked him to move along as I was taking album portraits for the bride and groom. He left but didn't seem thrilled. And I didn't care! Today when I delivered the album, the bride and bridesmaids were talking about that guy and couldn't believe him! I thought it was funny that they were talking about it! At that same wedding, the mother of the groom asked her friend who was a photographer to go take pictures during the wedding for her so that she didn't have to buy mine. The bride told her absolutely not. The woman still did it and the bride had the wedding planner tell her to sit down! It was funny! LOL

vidiot - never heard that one.

                      Applies at times.

                        Eric,

Sadly, around here, it applies most of the time.

Did he have permission from the b&g to be there? I've had brides tell me it was ok to shoot from some pretty odd locations during the ceremony. Maybe that's where they wanted him.

Priest, Minister, Pastor or Judge has the finally say in my book. Mainly because I may want to go back to that church again someday for a wedding.

That's like the wedding I did on July 2. I did get a few without the vidiot (I like that term, consider it stolen) in the image.
