  • CC Welcome. First Upload

This is from a wedding last weekend. Looking for some CC. My first CC request here.

One thing that bothers me is the line from the top of the rock wall that goes through her neck. Also the wrinkles on her neck facing camera.

I know she is kinda sideways with the shoulders but I wanted to see the detail of the back of her dress.

She also used a lot of "Self Tan" for her wedding. Not a great idea.

    Any and all CC welcome!

    Thanks.

Details: Overcast sky, reflector used silver side. Canon 5D, 70-200 2.8L

Paul...I just closed another thread and the jack rabbit thought ran through my head..."I wonder if there's anyone on the 4um from the asheville area. Maybe if we go for Christmas next year we can get a family portrait done." And what do you know I opened a thread by someone from Asheville! Yippee!!

I read some of the things you remarked you thought were wrong with your image. I have some comments on her posing...but first...thanks for posting and asking for CC. Overall it's an enjoyable image...here are my suggestions in tweaks:

A little more twist in the waist to see a peak of the far shoulder, and drop the flowers. She's got a 90 degree angle in her arm.. Tell them to think of a bent banana...not a dead hang, just a slight bend in the arm. You really want to show off her waistline (even on a heavier bride, those dresses give them waistlines...and makes them/us feel pretty). Also level out that chin so she not looking down her nose at you. maybe even drop that close shoulder and lean towards you.

I'll add that IF this was shot on the wedding day....YOU DID AN OUTSTANDING JOB.

But...if this was a pre bridal....done before or after the wedding...when you have tons of time to get things fixed and perfect...then all of the things you brought out are true.

I also find that she is a bit flat...as far as lighting......you may be able to adjust that by moving that reflector around.....but again...all of that takes time.

      Thanks for posting.

Thank for the CC. Yep, this WAS on the wedding day. One of her individual shots. The sun was in and out of mixed clouds so light diffused and wrapped around in this shot.

We did use a reflector and could probably have been more directional but we were fighting the speed of the cloud diffusing the sun and a hot bride ( reception was waiting ).

        Thanks.

I know the feeling and I know on important it is on the wedding day to 1. GET THE SHOT! 2. Get it in focus and then finally to be creative.

So many forget about all of that and risk missing the shot to be creative.

          WELL DONE!
